Adventures in New Zealand

In January Daniel and I decided to take a trip to New Zealand, Australia's dorky cousin! We focused mostly on the South Island and it was stunning! Our trip was everything from beautiful landscapes, like the one above, to never being so scared before! However, we were plauged with terrible weather throughout the trip which proved to be problematic. But in Queenstown, the weather changes every 15 minutes, so we managed.

We started our trip by taking a hike up Queenstown Hill. It was fairly long but not too steep, so most people could handle it. It takes about 2.5 hours.

At the top there is the 'Basket of Dreams'. The town lights it once a month and all the dreams written inside it comes true, or so they say. So far mine hasn't happened yet but I'll keep you posted!

They had the most amazing mushrooms all over the hill. I took more photos of mushrooms then anything else!

About 3 months before our trip, Daniel walked in and said to me, and I quote, "I book you in for bungy jumping and there are no refunds so you can't back out"

To say the least I was not impressed! It was by far the more terrifying this I have ever done. Luckily we were able to go tandem, otherwise I don't know if I could of done it! I still have panic attacks watching the footage of this. ( It will be in the video i eventually put together on my youtube channel)

Overall I am glad I did do the jump, it was intense but that is what makes life more exciting! Surprisingly, it was more elastic than I expected!

This was the perfect opportunity for me to wear my Black Milk Middle Earth Leggings!

THe Ferburger is world renowned for having the best burgers in the world. Obviously this was on the must try list. The que's here were INSANE. It was about a 2 hour wait at lunch time and still a 40 minute wait at 5 pm! We bought the burger and caught the skyline to Bobs point to have dinner.

As you can see from Daniels expression, it lived up to all the hype!

We also white water rafting, which was amazing and fun. But it is also a lot more physically demanding then I expected. I was sore for days after. But our tour guide was super friendly and helpful.  The water was freezing as it runs down from the glaciers, so it was like pins and needles when we capsized! An amazing experience none the less!

Best brownie I've ever had!

Daniel is drinking water from the glacier behind him, I swear it is not muddy, as the picture makes it look!

Don't let my smile decive you, it is roughly about 8 degree's Celsius in this photo. I was determined to wear my shorts with anchors on them, on the cruise later that day!

I told you it was cold, even the seals are out of the water. Oh and there are also seals!

Wind chill factor here was about 2 degrees, but it was all worth it because the outfit looks good!

Hope you enjoyed looking out holiday snaps, I know I love sharing them! If you want to see more moving pictures, I will be putting up a video on my Youtube channel in the near future.
